Frequently Asked Questions
⭐ What is space planning / what does a space planner do?
Space planning is all about making the best possible use of your space—whether it's a single room or an entire home. As a space planner, I help you figure out how to (re)arrange rooms, walls, or furniture to suit your lifestyle, needs, and goals.
⭐ What’s the difference between a space planner, an interior designer, and an architect?
Good question!
Architects focus on building structure, construction, and legal building permits.
Interior designers work with colors, textures, decor, and furniture styling.
Space planners (like me) focus on how to organize and use your space effectively—whether it’s suggesting room layouts, rethinking walls, or helping you fit in that extra bedroom, office, or storage nook.
⭐ Which languages do you work in?
I work mainly in English, but I am currently learning and improving my German, so I’m happy to communicate with you in German if needed.
Also, since Bulgarian is my native language, I’m happy to offer support in Bulgarian as well.
⭐ Do you offer in-person consultations?
Most of my projects are done online, using photos, floor plans, and email or video calls.
For larger projects (like full homes) and if you’re based locally (Eschborn, Hessen area), in-person visits may be possible for an additional fee. You can find more information on the Plans page.
⭐ How does the process work?
- You contact me and tell me about your space and needs
- We arrange a short video call
- After the call, you send me photos, videos, measurements, or existing floor plans
- I review everything and send you a price confirmation
- You make the payment (depending on your chosen plan)
- I create your custom layout and send it to you as a PDF and/or image file
- If your plan includes revisions, you’ll have the chance to request adjustments
⭐ Can I upgrade from the Starter Plan to a bigger package later?
Absolutely! If you book the Starter Plan first and later decide you want the One Room Plan for the same room, I’ll credit your Starter payment toward the upgrade.
That way, you won’t pay twice for the same room.
⭐ How do I know if I need the Odd Space Plan or the One Room Plan?
Good question! The difference isn’t really about size—it’s about the type of space and your goal.
Choose the One Room Plan if:
- You want help with a standard, enclosed room (like a bedroom, office, living room), even if it’s small
- Small rooms can sometimes be trickier to plan, but as long as it’s a defined room with four walls, it falls under the One Room Plan
Choose the Odd Space Plan if:
- You have a small, awkward, or undefined space (like under the stairs, a hallway corner, a nook, etc.)
- You have a new need (like creating a workspace, play area, or pet corner) and want help figuring out where in your home that could fit
- You want to create a functional zone inside a larger room (like carving out a reading area in your living room)
If you’re unsure which plan fits your situation, just send me a quick message—I’ll help you choose.
⭐ Do you offer 3D visualizations?
I mainly work with clear and detailed 2D layouts, but 3D visualization is available as an optional extra for an additional fee.
Just let me know if you're interested!
⭐ Will you suggest furniture and products?
For plans where furniture suggestions are included (like the One Room Plan or Full Home Plan), I’ll give you ideas for furniture types and room zoning, often with examples from well-known brands (like IKEA, etc.).
I don’t sell furniture myself.
⭐ What is room zoning?
Room zoning means creating different functional areas within the same room, without needing to build walls or make structural changes.
For example, in one open-plan living room, I can help you define separate zones like:
- A TV/lounge area
- A small home office corner
- A kids' play space
- Or a reading nook
⭐ Do I need special software to view my plan?
No special software needed!
I deliver your plan as a PDF or image file, which you can easily view on your phone, tablet, or computer.
